What exactly is the State of Insomnia? A person suffering from insomnia goes through a number of states of insomnia. Geneerally, the sleep disorder insomnia means that patients find it difficult to fall asleep or cannot maintain their sleep so that they feel refreshed. Many experts insist on calling the state of insomnia as a sleep disturbance, but many of them reject the idea and want to regard insomnia as a sign instead of a disorder. Thus, the expert opinion is divided over symptom and disorder; however, they have found the different types of insomnia, which have been listed below. Stae of Insomnia - Sleep Onset Insomnia The state of insomnia called sleep onset insomnia is also known as Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. In this state of insomnia, the sufferer seems to holdup the main sleep patterns that are in conjunction with the preferred time of sleeping. The holdup results in sleeplessness and the patient cannot get up at the time they want. Psycho-Physiological state of Insomnia In this state of insomnia, anxiety, which is a mental problem of the patient, causes physical problems and one is deprived of sleep. One of the features of this state of insomnia is that the sufferers are too occupied with their mental problems and have difficulty in falling asleep. Idiopathic state of Insomnia In the idiopathic, state of insomnia the human nervous system loses its control over the body's sleeping and waking function. The result of this state of insomnia is impaired sleeping function of the body and it takes place in the childhood stage of humans. Childhood state of Insomnia The state of insomnia called childhood insomnia has two types. The first state of insomnia in childhood insomnia is called Limit-Setting Sleep Disorder in which the kids holdup or just decline to go to sleep. This happens because the parents do not adequately force their child to go to sleep. The second type of insomnia in children is known as Sleep-Onset Association Disorder. In this type, the child refuses to sleep when there are no things like toys, their usual blanket, or there is no rocking for them to lull them to sleep. Altitude state of Insomnia In this state of insomnia, there is an intense manifestation of the condition. The condition does not last long but one can experience signs like appetite loss, tiredness, and headache. This state of insomnia is found on high altitudes. State of Insomnia - due to food allergy In the food allergy insomnia state of insomnia, one becomes insomniac when there is inclusion of new food items on one's daily diet. The other types of insomnia include; - Toxin-Induced Sleep Disorder - Environmental Insomnia - Stimulant-Dependent Sleep Disorder
